Job Description

Job Purpose: To work with customer’s business units to understand, analyze and document the existing business models, requirements and targeted changes.

Reporting to: Report on a daily basis to the Project Managers in India. Dotted line management to MD Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide end to end recruitment services including:

  • Work with customer’s business units to collect and collate the business requirements.
  • Provide critical analysis of user business requirements and translate this analysis into technical specifications and scope of works for application / product / solution design and development.
  • Preparation of Response to RFPs, Proposals, concept papers, etc.
  • Perform gap analysis and assist technical teams in transforming gaps and other requirements into the technical requirements. Track functional gaps and ensure follow-up with client and technical team until closure.
  • Review test scenarios developed by the development/testing teams. Participate in functional testing for critical functionalities requiring business knowledge
  • Act as a primary liaison interface between client and technical teams for business clarifications and analyze and manage change requests
  • Participate in project planning activity

The following would be supplementary responsibilities that would be required to be taken up on a need basis

  • Marketing Strategy, new technology/ market opportunity identification, Preparation of approach note and Marketing Collateral
  • Lead generation through marketing campaigns and other marketing tools
  • Prospective client research, first pitch presentations
  • Opportunities for up-selling and cross selling through account planning, newsletters etc.
  • Identifying partnership opportunities and managing partnerships

Person Specification

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with exposure to software systems preferred
  • 4+ years work experience preferably in a growing and global technology company
  • Proven experience of playing the role of BA in at least two large fixed bid custom application development project would be an added advantage.

Personal / Business Skills

  • Candidate should possess a dynamic and self-motivating personality to work in a team environment and successfully deliver on all deadlines and execution in a very fast-paced environment
  • Possess very sound communication skills capable of explaining technical issues to non-technical audiences
  • Extensive documentation experience in preparing requirements documents, functional test cases, training materials etc
  • Proven organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and work well in an environment with competing demands.
  • Possess excellent analytical skills and ability to anticipate issues and formulate remedial actions. Capability to understand Client, technical team psychology and change interaction approach
  • Possess very sound team building, mentoring and interpersonal skills and ability to resolve conflicts
  • Adapt and adhere to company standards and culture  
  • Flexibility to travel for short durations when required.
  • Working experience in with onsite offshore model of operations where the candidate has handled onsite requirements gathering and analysis sessions with business users (Traveled onsite) is preferred.
  • Experience in managing small to medium size projects is preferable. Working experience in requirement gathering using industry standard methodologies
  • Project management skills
  • Customer focused with strong commercial acumen
  • Capable of working in an international environment and open to diverse work culture and practices.

Technical Skills

  • Experience in using tools like design tools, Visio, MS-Project, MS-Office etc
  • Sound knowledge of relational data bases and SQL
  • Knowledge of estimation methodologies such as Function point analysis, COCOMO etc
