Brian O’Shaughnessy, BBS, MBA
(Managing Director)

Brian has an MBA from University College Dublin (Smurfit-2003) and a Bachelors Degree in Business Studies (Econ & Fin) from University of Limerick (1998).

He joined KPMG Consulting (Dublin) from college and spent the next two years providing Enterprise Solutions to manufacturing companies. In 2000, he moved to Webtrade, a specialist web development and online marketing company, as Business Development Manager.

Brian founded MerrionIT in 2002. The company’s mission is to offer best-in-class software development services to the SME sector in Ireland and Brian is committed to MerrionIT providing a premium service delivery of its products and related services.

Satheesh Vattem, MSc, ME
(Project Director)

Satheesh is a Post Graduate with dual masters in Mathematics and Software Systems from the prestigious technology school, BITS, Pilani, India. His areas of expertise broadly encompass process re-engineering, systems level development, profound exposure to Relational database management systems, business analytics, Internet Technologies.

Satheesh has nine years in Project Management, where he worked on varied roles with exposure to Pre-Sales, Business Analysis, and Functional Specifications to Architecting the solutions, system and process implementation and driving the teams. He has a hand-on experience of various verticals like Education, Aviation, Banking, Healthcare, FMCG, Insurance and MLM.

Kalpesh Patel, MSc, MMS
(Operations Director)

Kalpesh Patel also has completed dual masters in Mathematics and Management Studies from BITS, Pilani, India. He has been in Project Management for over 7.5 years with extensive experience in managing and motivating large teams through significant change. Being a Business Analyst by profession earlier he was responsible for conceptualizing solutions and also identifying the necessary business processes and checklists for implementing the solutions effectively.

Kalpesh is an expert in using various tools applied in Define and Design methodologies and is well versed with standard processes like ISO 9001. His key area of interest has been in adding value through challenging established practices to deliver creative solutions to complex business problems by conducting usability analysis of the processes/ project solutions in order to improve the overall experience of working with that solution.

Niranjan Rao Chalikonda, B. Pharm, ME
(Technical Architect)

Niranjan is also an alumnus of BITS, Pilani and is a Post Graduate in Software Systems. He has over four and half years of extensive programming experience with core competence in MicroSoft technologies: ASP, VB COM, ASP.NET, C#.NET, VB.NET Programming and Flash MX Action scripting.

Niranjan has vast experience in design and implementation of client-server and web models using windows DNA and .Net architectures.

Mary O’Shaughnessy
(Non-Executive Director)

Mary has over 18 years Human Resources and Organisational Development experience. Having spent 13 years in a multinational environment supporting all functions, her focus was particularly on team development around production processes and delivery services. She has also worked in and consulted on a wide range of organisations from small to medium size enterprises in Human Resources and Training & Development.

Her area of contribution to MerrionIT is in Strategic Development - particularly Organisational Development, Employee and Team Development and the promotion of continuous Learning. Mary also advises MerrionIT on the following areas: Recruitment & Selection, Compensation & Benefits, Employee Relations/Legislation, Performance Management, Career Planning, Consultancy, Training and H.R. Information Systems.

Mary holds an MSc in Management (Organisational Behaviour) from Trinity College Dublin and a BSc from University College Cork.
